Freed to Sanctuary
Edie is an African elephant who was held at the Zoo Knoxville in Knoxville, TN until she was freed to sanctuary. She was born in the wild 40 years ago. Edie was confined with 1 other elephant, who still suffers from Zoo Knoxville’s lack of sufficient space and from being unable to engage in their natural behaviors.
